How to Get to Monkeyland from Punta Cana
Monkeyland is not located near the beach. It is situated in the beautiful Anamuya Mountains, offering spectacular views of the countryside. Because it is a bit remote, knowing how to get to Monkeyland is important for planning your day.
The Journey
The drive takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes from most hotels in Bavaro, Punta Cana, or Uvero Alto. The road winds through local villages and lush green hills. It is a scenic drive, but it can be long.
Option 1: Open Safari Truck (Standard)
When you buy a standard ticket, it usually includes pick-up in a large, open-air safari truck.
Pros: You get fresh air and see the sights clearly.
Cons: It picks up people from many hotels. The ride can be bumpy and dusty. If it rains, you might get wet. It takes much longer due to the multiple stops.
Option 2: Private Transport (Recommended)
For a more comfortable experience, especially if traveling with kids or seniors, we recommend booking a Private Transfer with P&D Transport.
Pros:
- Air-conditioned van (no dust, no heat).
- Direct route: No stopping at other hotels.
- Flexibility: Leave when you are ready.
- Safety: Professional drivers on mountain roads.
Travel in comfort.
